How to Keep Your Hands Looking Young: Derm-Approved Tips for Hand Care

Feeling like your hands are aging faster than the rest of you? You’re not alone! Hands are one of the first places to show signs of aging, but the right routine can make all the difference.

Here’s how I keep my hands soft, smooth, and youthful:

✨ Apply retinol + hand cream nightly – Retinol helps boost collagen and reduce fine lines, while a rich hand cream locks in moisture. I’m using the RoC Retinol Stick and Neutrogena Hand Cream.

✨ Exfoliate once a week – Sloughing off dead skin helps improve texture and brighten your hands. I like The Ordinary Glycolic Acid, but lactic or mandelic acid are great for sensitive skin.

✨ SPF is a must! – UV exposure leads to premature aging, so don’t forget sunscreen on your hands, especially while driving. I also love SPF driving gloves from Prequel Skin or Coolibar for extra protection.

  1. cannot afford retinol sadly, but I’ve using skin oils as i find lotions too gross and greasy, with my shower routine and its been noticeably much more supple in the last month. i also use spf on it, but i have a ton of trouble keeping it on cause its so humid or when i wash my hand.
